Juice Fasting Will Improve Your Digestion

Juice fasting is not only good for your health, but also your body, by giving your digestive system a break so that it can go to work on detoxifying itself. But the only drawback to fasting is that it seems as though you're not taking in those nutrients which are very important to your body.

There are many diets to choose from online: the water diet, the lemonade diet, all are claiming spectacular results if you just follow their plan, and avoid certain foods, and then drink what they recommend, they're all different but all of them are hard to follow and even harder to stick with, and many of them have contradictory information.

But most of the more sensible diets recommend drinking lots of fluids to flush out your body to help start the detoxifying process. In fact, they recommend that you fast at least one day a week and drink only water. But hang on a minute why not try juices for fasting? And here's how to get started.

You should not drink vegetable juices for more than a week because your body needs protein it gets from meat, and cheese. But a week will do great things for your body such as give you clearer skin, shinier hair, and it will also detoxify your body. Drinking juices for fasting will give your body the much needed nutrients and vitamins, minerals and other trace elements that are essential to good health, by providing exactly what your body needs.

Buy your veggies as fresh as possible and buy them organic when possible, if you can't get organic then make sure you wash them good to remove all contaminants. Use your vegetables without peeling them first just put them straight into the juicer. Try a blend of kale, carrots and spinach; they are loaded with vitamins and beta-carotene which becomes vitamin A in the body.

Romaine lettuce and spinach are rich in bone-healthy vitamin K, trace elements of magnesium, calcium and maganese, folate which helps build the cells, potassium and vitamins B6 and B2, which is great stuff for your body and it all, comes in a bunch of green vegetables.

One of my favorite recipes for juice fasting is cucumber, parsley, celery and a tomato to get a lot of vitamin C.Cucumber adds a good light flavor, lots of juice and is also great for removing toxins. And if you find that your vegetable juices need a little bit of a sweet taste add an apple.

Try to make your juices for fasting just before you intend on drinking them, because some of the vitamins and nutrients are lost if you make them too far in advance. But if you have to make them in advance make sure to store them in a Tupperware or jar with a lid that seals tight and does not allow air in, a glass canning jar works great for this. And don't refrigerate your juice for more than three days.
